Sometimes I wonder how would I look like if I was born in a different decade: like 20s, 30s, 40s or 60s?! Still when cometics and hair dye was invented since I am not a natural type of girl;)
Those time fashion really put a stamp on people in a good sense of this word. Looking at old photos you could immediately tell if it was in 50s or 60s, because people look so different. Typical hairstyles, make-up, fashion everything just told you the story of those time, pictured the spirit and atmosphere. And of course for someone working in fashion, past decades are the biggest source of inpiration.
Xmas and New Year is always a bit nostalgic period for me as well. I like to listen to retro music, watch old-fashioned movies and remember all the good moment from the past. Which is why I wanted to make this post also a bit old-fashioned and nostalgic.
And this time it is a 60-s inspired look. Geometric black&white print, A-line mini scirt and even the broche- replication of the onbe Audry Hepbern was wearing in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. I do not wear black a lot, because every time I do, people ask me “Why? What about No Black”. But this post is about black&white memories, so forgive me for wearing black.
Merry Xmas and Happy NY my dear reader! Thank you for being with me all this time! And I sincerely wish the best in the coming year! Hugs&Kisses, D
And once again to my friend Steven Lemmens for these nostalgic beautiful pictures;)
I am wearing: Emilio Cavallini printed stockings, Bluemarine Scirt, Nicky Vankets Turtle
Neck, Top Shop loafers, Guess watch and broche from V&A Museum.
