Do you like September? I love it. Honestly, since I was a child and still now, September is the month I look forward to the most. It is just as beginning of new era in you life: back to work, rested and full of new ideas and mostly important the energy to be able to fullfill them. And, of course, September is the beginning of new fashion season: new trends, new purchases, new wardrobe.
So I decided to dedicate this post to autumn must haves: some pieces which are the big trend this season, and on the other hand are always a good investment to your wardrobe since they are always on trend.
From head to toe:
Must have#1: Cap. It has been covering the heads of most famous fashionista’s for already several seasons, and on the other hand, cap is so classic, that you should not be worried that buying one will ever be out of fashion. I must be honest it is the only hat that matches me personally, which it is my favourite;) I bought mine last season in Saint-Tropez in one of the men’s stores and I am still convinced it was a great investment .
Must have#2: Checks. Checks and plaids have just overcrowded the streets of Milan, London and New York, spotted on every single fashionista during the last fashion weeks. Checks on shirts, skirts, jackets, dresses and even shoes, all the combinations possible could not leave me indifferent to this trend. Levi’s call checks their classics, british claim their unique rights, anyways, whoever invented checks was definitely a genius.
Must have#3:Leather. Modern technologies in fashion jumped so far, that leather has become one of the most versatile, easy-to-wear and trendy fabrics ever, forgetting denim of course. Which is why, leather is the key message of every autumn season for at least the past 5 years. If you still not totally ready for a leather top or an evening dress, leather pants can become a very good start for the “leather story” in your wardrobe. I wear mine day-to-night, with sneakers and hills, with knitwear, silk top or a tuxedo, so be sure it is not the last time you will see them on me;)
And what about your autumn must haves………?
P.S. Biggest compliments to my colleague – talented photographer Steven Lemmens for these pictures, I am so so so happy with them. Thank you!;)
Me wearing: men’s cap, Massimo Dutti checked shirt, Levi’s denim jacket, Josesph leather pants, Kurt Geiger heels, Mango clutch, Zara necklace, leather bracelet from Damoy Boutique.
