It’s been a long time since I updated my “before/after” makeover column not for the reason of my laziness but rather my clients’ desire to keep it private. However, there are always young, beautiful and daring girls who deserve to glance in a photoshoot and being told about.
Welcome one of them – a young, smart and very ambitious young lady Elke, who by her 30-s has writen and got published two books and already preparing to show her 3-d one to the world. Elke is a business coach and like I help people to find themselves in their style, she guides them through the tough world of business, entrepreneurship, and simply help them to become successful.
As usual, the challenge was to match Elke’s ambition with her looks and create an image of young yet mature and authoratative professional who can make her point no matter her age and innocent feminine look. Obviously, we still wanted Elke to look attractive and feminine, but without it overpowering her professional image.
For the first business casual look we went for good basics – well-fitted pants, well-fitted sweater, a pair of nude pumps and very fresh printed coat to spice up the entire look and make it more trendy. Since Elke is a light, cool and soft color type we went for the similar colors, but instead of keeping a toned-down pastel pallete clean, we added some brightness through the print of the coat.

When you’ve got a good base in your wardrobe, there is no limit for versatility. You can create a totally different look by adding only one piece to the same ensemble. Et voila – there is no better color to make a statement rather than red. I just could not say ”no” to this perfect red blazer. This red could be too bold for Elke colortypewise, but paired with toned-down, blue-grey pants and sweater it looks more as an accent rather without compromising Elke’s natural coloring.

And finally my favourite look, which is much more fabulous in real life than against white background – soft-pink suit. I am a total suit fan and not because I have a whole collection of them in my own wardrobe, but because nothing makes you more elegant and bold than a suit. It’s sleek, daring, trendy and extremely flattering – suits do not only elongate the silhouette but also accentuate your body shape. My biggest tip is to go for a well-fitted blazer with a defined waistline, not a straight cut. If you got a waist, straight cut will hide it and make you look more boxy and bulky, so pick the right suit for your body shape and the world is yours!

And the last but not the least an off-duty feminine look – a perfect bodycon dress which hugs your body. Elke has a perfect hourglass bodyshape and it would be a sin for me not to put her in a bodycon.
